Rottweiler - Dexter - Large - Young - Male - Dog
Dexter has been with awhile, however it wasn't until recently he is adoptable. He is part of a large rescue in Middletown, NY where over 70 Rottweillers were rescued and taken to different shelter, rescues. Dexter came with his sibling Princess. Dexter needs a loving family or person to take him as he is. He is young, however because of over breeding and not being taken care of, he has a heart issue. After being seen by our Veterinarian, it was decided he should not be neutered without putting his life in jeopardy. These dogs were never socialized and what we saw back in May compared to now (November) - he is a different dog. He knows that he is loved, however he's a large dog and needs an experienced owner. All Dexter wants to do is have someone love him and to be loved. We have worked at putting extra weight on him as his back end was quite concave. Dexter does not want to be in a shelter the rest of his life - we're hoping that someone will take him into their home and into their hearts. Dexter takes daily medication for his heart and will need to for the remainder of his life. His medication is very inexpensive fortunately.
