Lily is a 4-5 year old brindle/white Pit Bull. She came to us emaciated, dozens of open wounds and scarred. A good samaritan found her in a fighting area outside of Goshen and realized she was being used as a bait dog. Lily was grateful from day 1 and knew that she'd been given a 2nd chance at life. She has gained at least 30 lbs and looks beautiful. Has come such a long way! Lily has made many break throughs in the past 1 1/2 years - hated men two years ago, and now loves all people. ONCE she knows and trusts you, she is very loyal and loves pretty much everyone she meets. Lily is a good judge of character. There are some relationships that take a little longer for her. Lilly needs someone that is an experienced dog owner - when she is eventually adopted, she needs to know it's forever.For this girl to trust at this point is a miracle. Her adopter will have to be special in the eyes of the shelter and Lilies! Definitely worth getting to know Lily. She has a lot of love for the right person.
