Domestic Short Hair - Black - Slyvester - Medium - Adult - Male
Sylvester was dumped along with his younger sibling Belle in front of the shelter on a rainy night. Sylvester was very sick at the time. Originally it was thought he was in renal kidney failure and he was at least 60% under his body weight. However, it turned out his Thyroid wasn't working properly. He takes medication twice a day (inexpensive) and is very good about it and has gained all of his weight back and probably a little bit more. Sly is on Thyroid medication long term. He'd love to go in the free roaming room, however he loves his wet food a lot and this has helped him put weight on, so for now he's in our caged room, but is now a very happy kitty! Slyvester has shown his wonderful personality and with his medication he's able to be just like all the other cats. Sly is a cuddler and loves to be held. Sly has recently taught himself to open BOTH his cage doors. Turns out he's a very smart boy! We want a home for this boy so much!! He is sweet, loves to cuddle and just a great cat! Dont forget-great escape artist too!
